Chiens De Traineaux for Adventure Ride

A dog sled or chiens de traineaux is a sled designed to be fired by one or more dogs to travel on ice or snow. Although it is unknown the date of invention, the first Siberian dog sledding are cited in Arabic literature from the tenth century. Different types of dogs can be used, including the Alaskan, Siberian Husky or Alaskan Malamute. Throughout the year, our huskies sleigh will make you discover the immensity of the Hautes Combes du Jura and Finnish Lapland in the Lake Inari region. Spend the night in one of our cottages in the Jura, or Finland in our round wooden house with sauna facilities. 

All-inclusive stays are available, with dogsled rides and other activities with the dogs during summer and winter season.  Dogsled rides on the Jura mountains, baptisms, hiking, Cani -rando. Summer and winter recreation with dogs abound, cani - trotinnette , cani -rando , children's summer camps , Ski- joring , christening sleigh , hitch winter driving. Alexandre and Sandrine Begrand welcome you to their polar dog park, where you can visit the kennel, see, touch and nourish animals, dogs, goats, before going on a walk with the dogs ( huskies and greysters) in the massif of forests Jura . 

The dog teams are usually chiens de traineau on the snow or ice (there are also wheel vehicles called "go-carts"), by means of harnesses and related lines. Today, they are mostly used in sled races. The dog leader is appointed by the musher term. Nevertheless, it seems that this practice was very sporadic until the time. In Europe, the use of the sled dog is very old, probably around the year thousand. Although few mentioned by historians, it is widespread in the nineteenth century. From the eighteenth century, of police regulations prohibit the use of Versailles dog harness cars and tropicbirds of Paris drawn by dogs. This method of traction nevertheless persists in the Paris region.
